Public records requests often increase during difficult, controversial, or highly visible district conversations. Whether responding to community concerns, policy discussions, leadership transitions, crises, or major district initiatives, communicators are frequently asked to help locate and organize information quickly. In this Mini Lab, participants will explore practical approaches to improving communication record organization, strengthening searchability, and creating workflows that make information easier to locate when requests arise. Through real-world examples and demonstrations, attendees will learn how to build systems that reduce last-minute scrambling, improve collaboration across departments, and support more efficient information retrieval during high-interest situations.
