Ryan Mayers has been working in education since 2005. He began his career in Richmond, VA, teaching math to somewhat disinterested middle school students before making the move to Austin, MN, to teach geometry and statistics to marginally more interested high schoolers. In 2010, he made the move from the classroom into technology integration. Part of his new job was taking over the district website and developing their social media presence. Within 4 years, he moved full time into district communications as Communications Coordinator and hasn’t looked back. During his time in communications, Ryan has overseen the development of a robust social media strategy, a full rebranding effort, and multiple referendum campaigns.
