Hello NSPRA world!
I want to start off by saying how incredibly happy I was to find an association like NSPRA.
I live and work in a rural community in northeastern Nevada. Since I graduated with my bachelor's degree in journalism in 2014, I have made my home in Elko, Nevada, working in communications for higher education and now, more recently, K-12 education. Currently, the district I work in serves about 10,000 students. My position is brand new to the District, and me (June 2021)!
I am hoping to gain mentorship, best practices guidance and even friendship from this association. I am also a part of the Public Relations Society of America- Sierra Nevada Chapter. Because of my location, making connections virtually has really been a saving grace in my new role.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and our two golden retrievers, fly fishing, decorating, and cooking!
